Tamya heard her grandmother's last words. She lit a lantern at her campfire and held the Lantern Rite. She keeps the fire now, as a hearthkeeper.
完整对话
Here is the charm. I wrapped it in a copy of the message, written out in plain words.
"My little ember. I did not get lost. I stayed so the ones we left behind would not be alone in the dark. I lit a lantern for every name, and I will light one more for myself when my time comes."
"Don't grieve for me too long. Keep a fire burning for whoever is still walking. That is all a hearthkeeper ever does."
...Please take this to Tamya. I think she has waited long enough.
接受： Thank you. Tell her the tomb is tended again, and every name is back where it belongs.
拒绝： I understand. It's not an easy thing to carry. I'll keep it here until you're ready.
You're back! Did Daniel the Scholar read the journal? Did he find out what happened to...
...That's her charm. I'd know her mark anywhere.
She stayed so they wouldn't be alone. She wasn't lost at all. ...And all this time I've been keeping a fire without knowing that's what she asked of me.
Will you stay a moment? I'd like to hold the Lantern Rite here. One lantern, for Elda.
...There. Grandmother would have said a camp is as good as a hall, as long as the fire is warm. I'm a hearthkeeper now, and anyone who passes through will find a fire here.
Thank you, truly. Please, take something for the road.
